Kalumet - Kalumet And The Acid Ocean Sailing Club

Zoltán Vajda aka Kalumet has started his music career about 20 years ago in the middle of 90’s. His music has always incorporated wide range of styles from driving psy-trance to calming chill-out, downtempo or dub. As a musician he travelled half of the world and played at many exotic places from the Brazilian jungle to a middle of a lake near Bangkok, clubs of Moscow or London and last but not least he also played on the main stage of the best psychedelic festival of East EU: Ozora.
The endless travelling has always had huge effect on his music too and this you can hear on his 4th studio album as well. Kalumet And The Acid Ocean Sailing Club is his most colourful and mature work to date. All songs are blending various genres into a complex and multi-layered musical journey. Sometimes you hear blues melodies for start but the same song can easily transforms to dub or a lazy nu jazz opening can go crazy balkan with a hint of trance. Just like travelling with a psychedelic gipsy boat on an acid ocean.
The making of this album took more than 2 years and delivers a lots of excitement for the listener.
Kalumet and Mana Mana have decided to offer all income of the album sells to a small Hungarian foundation that supports operating schools in very poor areas of the country. This way we together can help disadvantageous children to have better conditions to continue their studies.
